New Principal for Leigh Academy Marden

Dear parents and carers

RE: new Principal for Leigh Academy Marden.

Mrs Penning will be leaving Marden at the end of May to take up a role in another Leigh Academies Trust (LAT) school. We are grateful for her significant contribution to the ongoing development of the school over the past few years. One of her most important final tasks is to ensure our new building for year R and year 1 children opens successfully after Easter. We are very excited by this wonderful new facility for the community.

I am delighted to confirm that we have replaced Mrs Penning with an exceptional senior leader from another LAT academy which is judged “Outstanding” in all categories by Ofsted. The successful candidate and new Marden Principal who will start on 1st June is Mrs Stephanie Goodall. She comes into the role with great credentials and I know is looking forward to introducing herself to staff, parents and children in just a few weeks’ time. The future is very bright for Marden and under Mrs Goodall’s leadership will continue from strength to strength.

We remain grateful for all of your ongoing support.

Yours faithfully

Simon Beamish
